Character Information
General Yoneda

Having distinguished himself during the Russo-Japanese war (1904-1905), and later as a member of the Imperial Army’s elite Anti-Demon Unit (the predecessor of the Flower Division) during the First Demon War, Lt. General Yoneda serves as Commander of the Flower Division and is effectively responsible for the Imperial Capital’s defense. When not busy attending to the affairs of maintaining the Imperial Capital’s tranquility, or the upkeep of the Imperial Theater’s operations, “Manager” Yoneda can normally be found in his office nursing a bottle of sake.

Yoneda treats the members of the Flower Division like his own children, and feels a paternal responsibility to each of them- especially Sakura, due to his past relationship with her father, Kazuma. Yoneda is also persistent about trying to connect with Ohgami. Yoneda has taken Ohgami out fishing, and is constantly attempting to get poor Ohgami to consume vast amounts of sake with him as a part of their bonding experience.

General Yoneda is voiced by Masaru Ikeda, who has played Tony Soprano in the Japanese Dub of the Sopranos, as well as lending his voice in such titles as City Hunter and Dirty Pair. His English-language counterpart is Bill McMillin, who has previously done work on Queen Emeraldas.

Fujieda Ayame

Strong and business-minded, Ayame is the Vice-Commander of the Flower Division under Lt. General Yoneda, and a veteran of the First Demon War. Ayame served with General Yoneda, as well as Sakura’s father, Colonel Shinguji and Major Yamazaki in the Imperial Army’s Anti-Demon Unit. Ayame was romantically involved with Major Yamazaki until his disappearance after the final battle of the Demon War.

Since the end of the Demon Wars, Ayame was responsible for bringing the core members of the Flower Division to Teito to form the Imperial Floral Combat Troupe. As General Yoneda’s deputy commander, Ayame tackles the administrative duties of the Flower Division in a clerical capacity. However, when the forces of evil threaten, Ayame can generally be found directing the battle with the girls of the Kazegumi from the command post.

Ayame’s voice actress is the talented Ai Orikasa, who is known for her work as Ryoko in Tenchi Muyo, and Quatre in Gundam Wing among countless others. Her English-language counterpart is Amy Gamber.

Fujieda Kaede

Succeeding her elder sister, Ayame, as the Vice-Commander of the Flower Division, Kaede works diligently at keeping the sanctity of the Imperial Capital that her older sister loved so dearly intact. When not performing her military duties, Kaede serves in an administrative capacity and carries herself well in this very secretarial role.

Unlike her sister, Kaede has grown accustomed to modern times and western influences. She leads a lifestyle in stark contrast to that of her older sister, indulging in the latest in modern fashion and decor, as opposed to her sister's more traditionally Japanese standard of living. Professional and efficient, Kaede strives to preserve the high standards of excellence her sister established while carrying out her duties.

Kaede’s voice actress, like Ayame’s, is the talented Ai Orikasa, who is known for her work as Ryoko in Tenchi Muyo, and Quatre in Gundam Wing among countless others. Her English-language counterpart is Meredith May.

Yuichi Kayama

Kayama is the Captain of the Tsukigumi, or Moon Division, which serves as a sort of reconnaissance and intelligence division in support of the Flower Division. Kayama was a classmate of Ohgami during their days at the Naval Academy, and the two were good friends and rivals. Kayama is also a notorious scene stealer, showing up in his white leisure suit and strumming his trusty guitar.

As the Tsukigumi’s commander, Kayama is skilled in everything from espionage to covert operations and tactics. When not lurking in the shadows of the night in Tokyo gathering information, or out running secret errands for Kaede, Kayama is generally popping up in unusual places and bestowing sagely advice on Ohgami. Kayama even showed up in Paris while Ohgami was there crafting the Groupe Fleur de Paris.

The eccentric Kayama is voiced by the talented Takahito Koyasu, who has played such roles as ACROSS’s glorious leader, Lord Ilpalazzo in Excel Saga, Yuji in Burn Up Excess, and Colonel Zechs Merquise in Gundam Wing to name but a few.

The Kazegumi - "Wind Division"

Responsible for ensuring that the Flower Division has all of the necessary assistance it needs when going off into combat the various forces of evil that threaten the Imperial Capital’s peace, the girls of the Kazegumi, or Wind Division, act as the primary support unit for the Flower Division’s activities. The Wind Division is comprised of three very skilled members, the sensible and astute Kasumi Fujii, the levelheaded gossip Yuri Sakakibara, and the childish but capable Tsubaki Takamura. Constantly together, the Wind Division is just as capable as the Flower Division when it comes to getting in to all kinds of mischief around the Imperial Theater.

Responsible for the operations of the Flower Division’s support vehicles, such as the mobile command vehicle and the air battleships Mikasa and Shogei Maru, the Wind Division is a vital asset to all of the Flower Division’s major operations. When not assisting the troupe in battle, the Wind Division is also responsible for handling the operations of the theater’s business office, as well as assisting with various ushering duties and making sure the theater’s productions go off without any hitches.

The Wind Division’s talented voice cast consists of Akemi Okamura as Kasumi, Yuki Masuda as Yuri, and Kyoko Hikami as Tsubaki. Their English-language counterparts are Meg Bauman, Kelly Dealyn, and Cassie Fitzgerald respectively.
