Descended from Italian Nobility, Orihime joined the Flower Division with Reni after the Hoshigumi, or Star Division, had been disbanded. Due to the angst her Japanese father caused her mother, Orihime had a strong dislike of Japanese men, and ostracized Ohgami from the beginning for obvious reasons. However, after Orihime reconciled with her father, who was working as a painter in Teito, Orihime and Ohgami finally became good friends and she stopped making things difficult for him, and treating him like he was the scum of the Earth.
While somewhat abrasive at times, Orihime is confident in her skills as an actress and as a combatant. Though Orihime may give off a prissy impression at first glace, behind this contradictory exterior lies a talented and reliable teammate who serves the Flower Division with the utmost distinction. A capable fighter in battle, Orihime痴 Koubu is a magenta color, and shoots explosive fireballs that rain down on her opposing targets.
Orihime is voiced by the talented Maya Okamoto, who has previously played the roles of Maya in Burn Up Excess, and Minato in Martian Successor Nadesico to name a couple. Her English-language counterpart is Jessica Smolins.
