Kanna is the daughter of Takuma Kirishima, and hails from the island of Okinawa. Kanna is the 28th Master of the Kirishima School of Karate and the real muscle behind the Flower Division. Kanna was one of the first members of the Flower Division to be recruited by Major Fujieta, and is close friends with Maria, who joined around the same time. Though, following the mysterious death of her father at the hands of a rival, Kanna left the Flower Division briefly to take revenge on the killer. Upon her return, Kanna provided a huge boost to the troupe痴 combat power. Tomboyish and brazen in nature, Kanna is constantly butting heads with Sumire, who she likes to refer to as 鼎actus Woman. Kanna and Sumire痴 antagonism is one of the highlights of the series, but the two really are friends, despite appearances.
Kanna brings her martial arts expertise onto the battlefield, and her Koubu is equipped to fight in hand-to-hand combat. Her specialty attack, the Super Rinpai, is devastating against a multitude of enemy forces. Kanna also has the largest appetite of the Flower Division. It痴 not uncommon for her to put away 9 or more helpings of food per meal to keep her strength up. On stage, Kanna, like Maria, tends to take the more masculine roles of the troupe. Starring opposite of Sumire always makes things interesting, especially during the incident where the two were forced to adlib a comedy routine.
Kanna痴 seiyuu is Mayumi Tanaka, who has lent her talent to titles such as Rurouni Kenshin, and Dragonball Z. Her English-language counterpart is Lane West.
