Iris, real name Aeris, was born in Champagne, France, and is the only daughter of Count Chateaubriand of Champagne. Due to her incredible psychic power, Iris was secluded from the outside world most of her young life until Ayame arrived and convinced her parents to allow her to come to Japan and join the Flower Division, where she would be among girls who possess power akin to her own. As a member of the Flower Division, Iris has always been a big draw for the Flower Division’s stage performances. She’s a talented actress, but strongly dislikes anyone making reference to her childish nature, regardless of the fact that she constantly carries around her beloved teddy bear. Iris is always eager to help out the others, and is very perceptive when it comes to the feelings of the rest of the group. Iris is especially fond of Ohgami in particular, and refers to him as "Oniichan" or "Big Brother."

When the Flower Division goes into battle, Iris puts her incredible powers to work against the forces of evil. Whether it’s telekinesis, teleportation, or just blowing the enemy away with a burst of energy, Iris’s contributions to the battle are indispensable. Her Koubu is her favorite color, yellow, and can be seen constantly teleporting around the battlefield, throwing the enemy into disarray trying to keep up with her. Though in the Sakura Wars TV series, Iris doesn’t take part in the combat duties of the Flower Division until later on in the series.

The voice for Iris was provided courtesy of Kumiko Nishihara, who has played the roles of Pirotess in Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, and Shinobu in Crayon Shin-chan among countless others. Her English-language counterpart is Jessica Schwartz, who has previously played Canal in Lost Universe.
